Climate change may affect the frequency and intensity of precipitation, the effects of which can be difficult to disentangle from precipitation quantity. The RainMan project investigates the effects of temporal repackaging of precipitation on ecosystem processes, but the quantity of soil moisture data across plots and treatments can be difficult to visualize and analyze. We built a Shiny app for for interactively visualizing the treatment effects on soil moisture and developed site-specific soil moisture release curves with in situ sensor data, which can translate soil water content into the more plant- and ecosystem- relevant soil water potential.
